Hoi An Tourist Holding Company explained the fluctuation in business result between Quarter 2. 2013 and Quarter 2.2012 as follows:
1. Deductions:
- Quarter 2.2013: 65,680,253 dongs
- Quarter 2.2012: 108,328,651 dongs
- Decreasing: 42,648,398 dongs
- Ratio: 39.37%
- Reason: In Quarter 2.2013, special consumption tax from spa decreased.
2. Financial income:
- Quarter 2.2013: 984,442,441 dongs
- Quarter 2.2012: 558,952,582 dongs
- Increasing: 425,489,859 dongs
- Ratio: 76.12%
- Reason: due to the nature of interest rates in 2012 (interest rate applied for time deposit over 12 months was agreement rate, it was higher than time deposit of 06 months, wherefore, most idle funds are invested to term for 12 months), deposit interest focus to keep business account in Quarter 3.2013 leading to financial income increased by 76.12%.
3. Financial expenses:
- Quarter 2.2013: 5,106,615 dongs
- Quarter 2.2012: 14,778,051 dongs
- Decreasing: 9,671,436 dongs
- Ratio: 65.44%
- Reason: This item is affected by the difference in assessment of foreign accounts at June 30, 2012. In Quarter 2.2012 was 5,628,445 dongs while in Quarter 2.2013 was only 198,791 dongs, decreasing by 5,429,654 dongs.
4. Selling expenses:
- Quarter 2.2013: 958,514,262 dongs
- Quarter 2.2012: 1,250,266,243 dongs
- Decreasing: 291,751,981 dongs
- Ratio: 23.33%
- Reason: due to advertising marketing expenses decreased by 383,959,234 dongs or 52.3% compared to the same period of last year.
5. General and administration expenses:
- Quarter 2.2013: 2,174,823,611 dongs
- Quarter 2.2012: 1,971,662,12 dongs
- Increasing: 203,161,439 dongs
- Ratio: 10.30%
- Reason: due to salary, salary deductions and training expense increased.

- Reason: due to income from liquidation sale of assets, tools and equipments.
