Vietnam bourse treads water
HCM CITY — Thursday’s stagnant trading session saw a drop of 0.01 per cent in market value as nearly half of the bourse suffered losses, three listed companies enjoyed gains, and four others stayed put.The Viet Nam index fell by 0.02 points to close at 197.25.
There were no trading for Bim Son at Thursday’s session.
REE strengthened by 1.3 per cent and was followed by Bibica at 0.5 per cent and Gemadept, 0.25 per cent.
Of the nine losers, Lafooco fell sharply by 1.8 per cent. Three others Savimex, Danaplast and Gilimex, Hapaco registered a similar drop of around 1.5 per cent.
Transactions of shares for Canfooco, Tribeco, Bim Son and CCC 620 were carried out at their previous prices.
Trade value stood at 142,800 shares worth VND3.96 billion changed hands for the day.
No bond types of all 24 listed bonds again found investors.
Of the total trade turnover, Savimex bought back 1,500 of its stocks, Lafooco, 200 equities and Bibica, 12,500 stocks.
Meanwhile foreign investors bought 2,300 Samco shares via order matching.
Two negotiated deals worth VND1.36 billion were completed for 35,000 shares. The first deal was for 10,000 REE shares at the price of VND32,800 each, VND600 cheaper that the price set by order matching.
The second deal was for 25,000 Gemadept shares at the price of VND41,300, up by VND500 compared with the order matching price.
